Influential Magazine Photoshoots

The photo's from this shoot are gorgeous. The colours are so rich and vibrant, however the shadows make the over all image look sinister and haunting. I think Little Red Riding Hood is portrayed really well, she looks oblivious to the evilness of the wolf.

Vogue are known for their high budget fashion shoots, and in the UK April issue, even the set ups are very reminiscent of a modern day fairytale. It's all very decadent, expensive and embellished.

The link is too direct between fairy tale and outcome, however I thought it would be interesting to see how a fairy tale as dark as Little Red Riding Hood could be portrayed in an artistic way.

Harpers Bazaar - Tim Burton Tricks and Treats

These images shot by Tim Walker are amazing, they are so haunting and vivid. The skulls really add drama to the composition as they tower over the model. I love the dress in the top picture, it's a big contrast to what else is happening in the picture as it's so delicate.

Here is a great example of beauty, death, dark and light all juxtaposed together in one piece. Flowers and Skulls. Drama and Delicateness.
