In a fairy tale, the body has a massive importance.
A lot of the stories revolve around the body (Snow White's vanity, the need to be beautiful, the queen wanting her killed with her lungs/heart brought back for her. Skulls = Poison (apple) = Death... Little Red Riding Hoods was beautiful thus attracting the wolf who then raped her...)
It's no wonder then that a lot of the influences and links between the new medias and the fairy tales, revolve around or incorporate the body in some way..
I will now start a 'chapter' for my project starting on the theme of the body.
